Event Opportunities

January:

  • PNC Family Night:  PNC Family Night is a yearly event dedicated to our families that have pre-k students who participate in our Your Amazing Body! programs. With this event, we need volunteers to assist with setting up the event, learning stations, handing out photo booth props, serving dinner, and much more!
  • Tooth or Consequences: Volunteers are needed to travel with our health educators to help set up dental models and work with kindergarten students to help them properly brush and floss. Many programs are scheduled throughout the year, and last about 40 minutes each.

February:

  • Dental Healthy Partners: Volunteers are needed for Dental Health Month to assist our health educators in setting up dental models and work with early childhood students to help them properly brush and floss. Many programs are scheduled throughout February, and last about 60 minutes each.

March:

  • Dental Health Bag Assembly: Each year, the Hult Center educators provide thousands of students with free dental health bags that contain a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and important information for families about the importance of dental health. Volunteers are needed at the Hult Center to help assemble dental bags.
  • Uncorked!-Friday, March 27, 2020:  Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up the event, signing in guests, handing out wine glasses, and more.

April:

  • CATCH Family Night: Each year, the Hult Center celebrates the success of participating schools with a CATCH Family Night. Events are held at participating schools, so the dates vary. Volunteers are needed to help with setting up the event, handing out healthy snacks, engaging students in learning stations, and so much more!

June:

  • Mike Seneca Golf Classic: Friday, June 12, 2020 – The Annual Golf Classic is sure to be the most fun you’ll have on the golf course this summer! Come join the fun as a volunteer to help with registration, selling raffle tickets & mulligans, and monitoring hole-in-ones.
  • June Healthy Heroes:  June Healthy Heroes is Hult Center’s annual summer program for students ages 5-8.  The camp has a morning session and an afternoon session on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during 3 weeks in June. Volunteers are needed to help students make their nutritious snacks, art projects, and navigate from room to room.

July:

  • July Healthy Heroes:  July Healthy Heroes is Hult Center’s annual summer program for students ages 9-12.  The camp has a morning session and an afternoon session on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during 2 weeks in July.  Volunteers are needed to help students make their nutritious snacks, art projects, and navigate from room to room.
  • Whitney’s Walk for Life: Saturday, July 25, 2020- Held the last Saturday of July each year, Whitney’s Walk for Life raises money to support mental health programming in the community. Volunteers are needed to assist with registration, handing out t-shirts, cheering on runners and walkers, and more!
  • United Way Bake Sale: Each year, the Hult staff members and volunteers raise money for the Heart of Illinois United Way by holding a bake sale at UnityPoint Health Proctor. Volunteers are needed to bake items to sell in the bake sale, as well as sell items in the lobby of the hospital.

August:

  • Dental Health Bag Assembly: Each year, the Hult Center educators provide thousands of students with free dental health bags that contain a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and important information for families about the importance of dental health. Volunteers are needed at the Hult Center to help assemble dental bags.

September:

  • Annual Senior Health Fair: September 19, 2018 from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hult Center; Over 400 active seniors attend the annual health fair. Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up the event, guest sign-in, serving breakfast to guests, stuffing & handing out bags, and more!
  • Lobster Boil – September 21, 2019: Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up the event, signing in guests, and more.

October:

  • Fall Family Fest: Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up the event, signing in guests, serving a light breakfast, and more.

November:

December: 

  • Hult Center’s Holiday Open House: The Hult Center welcomes community members each December to its Holiday Open House. Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up the event, welcoming guests, and giving tours to the guests.
