Ingredients:
Tzatziki Sauce
6 oz. non-fat Greek yogurt
¼ English cucumber, peeled and diced
½ Tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
Dash of white pepper
½ Tablespoon vinegar
Burgers
1 lb lean (90% or leaner) ground turkey
1 Tablespoon Moroccan spice mix (below)
4 whole wheat Sandwich Thins®
4 each tomato slices, onion slices, lettuce leaves
Directions:
1. Heat gas or charcoal grill.
2. In a medium bowl, mix Tzatzki ingredients. Refrigerate until serving.
3. Mix ground turkey and Moroccan spice mix in a bowl. Shape into 4 patties.
4. Grill patties over medium heat, 8-10 minutes, turning after 5 minutes. Meat thermometer should read 165°F.
5. Place burgers on buns; top with lettuce tomato, onion and Tzatziki sauce.
Moroccan Spice Mix: (yields ¼ cup)
5 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. garlic powder
¾ tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. chili powder
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
½ tsp. allspice
½ tsp. ground cloves
¼ tsp. salt
Combine all spices and store in an airtight container for up to several months.
