Remembering Mike Seneca

Mike Seneca, a loving husband, was diagnosed with Stage IV Signet Ring Adenocarcinoma on September 4th, 2008. The disease was believed to have started in his stomach and metastasized to his brain, bones, bladder, and lungs. At the time of receiving the news Mike’s daughter was a mere seven weeks old and a son who was only five. To be able to fight such an amazing battle for seven long months is something only a brave and courageous person like Mike could do.

Mike showed unconditional love to everyone. He loved coaching Liam’s baseball team and he would handle Claire with the gentlest hands. He was a proud attorney and CPA. Mike loved the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and the University of Notre Dame’s football team. Caring, selfless, compassionate, and strong-willed are words that come to your mind first when thinking of Mike. In his 33 years, he was a great example to his friends and family of what a gentleman looks like and we wish to honor his memory through this golf tournament for the Hult Center for Healthy Living.
